when I first heard that quote from Steve jobs it struck a heavy chord in me that it revolutionized the way I do things
what you believe you can do is what you would do and someone who wants to build influence and position themselves as experts in your industry
you must first believe that what you know is enough to earn you the expert title because there are people who are in need of your level of expertise
this is why you must serve them with diligence and not with complacency and give your absolute best
also, you must understand that the top people in your industry started from somewhere and grew themselves to the top
this is why you must be authentic, original and your real self because the people you are trying to serve or market your products to can sense when you’re not
you do not need to post fake reviews and sound aloof, this would only complicate issues for you
furthermore, instead of trying to serve everyone which is impossible, how about looking out for people who are in need of your level of expertise and serve them with your whole heart?
And how do you know people who are in need of your level of expertise? There are the people who respond to your post by commenting or by reacting to it
focus on them, solve their problem and build from there because no one ever built a sky-crapper by starting from the top
so be consistent, diligent and do not overwork yourself or overthink because there’s a client for your level of expertise
but this doesn’t mean you should not thrive to be at the top
I’m simply saying start where you are, be original, do not try to fake what you’re not by posting fake testimonial, be your self and grow from there.
